The International Association of Infant Massage (“IAIM”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to ensuring satisfaction with our membership services, events, and educational resources.
This Refund and Returns Policy outlines your rights and obligations regarding cancellations and refunds for services and products purchased through our website (iaim.net).
1. EU Right of Withdrawal (Cooling-Off Period)
If you are a consumer based in the European Union (EU), you generally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving any reason. However, strict exceptions apply to digital content and services once they have been fully performed or accessed, as detailed below.
2. Membership Subscriptions
IAIM Membership tiers (Individual, Affiliate, Alumni, and Chapter) provide immediate access to members-only content, the global directory, and proprietary resources.
14-Day Cooling-Off Period: You are entitled to a full refund of your membership fee within 14 days of purchase, provided that you have not accessed any restricted member benefits.
Waiver of Refund Rights upon Access: By logging into the Member Portal and accessing restricted content (such as the Resource Library, Member Directory, or Forums), you expressly acknowledge that the service has commenced and you waive your right to the 14-day cooling-off period.
Non-Refundable: Once you have logged in and accessed member-only content, membership fees are non-refundable.
Cancellations: You may cancel your membership renewal at any time. Cancellations will prevent future billing, but no prorated refunds will be issued for the remaining portion of the current annual term.
3. Digital Products (Downloadable Resources)
This section applies to the purchase of Research Articles, Parent Handouts, Templates, and other downloadable files.
Instant Access Waiver: When you purchase a digital download, you are granted immediate access to the file. By completing the purchase and downloading the content, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal.
No Refunds: All sales of digital files are final and non-refundable once the download link has been generated or accessed.
Defective Files: If a digital file is corrupted or you are unable to download it due to a technical error on our end, please contact us within 48 hours of purchase. We will provide a replacement file or issue a refund if the issue cannot be resolved.
4. Events and Conferences
Registration fees for IAIM International or Regional Conferences are subject to the following cancellation terms to cover administrative and venue costs:
Cancellations > 60 Days Prior to Event: Full refund less a [Insert Admin Fee, e.g., €50] administrative fee.
Cancellations 30–60 Days Prior to Event: 50% refund of the registration fee.
Cancellations < 30 Days Prior to Event: Non-refundable.
Event Cancellation by IAIM: If IAIM cancels an event due to unforeseen circumstances, registrants will receive a full refund of the registration fee. IAIM is not responsible for travel or accommodation costs incurred by the attendee.
5. Physical Goods (Merchandise/Books)
If applicable.
Returns: We accept returns of physical goods within 14 days of delivery.
Condition: Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition that you received them.
Shipping Costs: You are responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
6. Donations
Donations made to the International Association of Infant Massage to support our mission and projects are considered irrevocable gifts and are non-refundable.
7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
We encourage members to contact our support team directly to resolve any billing issues.
If you initiate a dispute or “chargeback” with your bank for a valid transaction, your membership account and access to all IAIM resources will be immediately suspended pending the outcome of the dispute.
IAIM reserves the right to dispute invalid chargebacks and recover any fees incurred.
